Data on each bookmaker page

Where available, a profile may include:

Empty fields mean we do not hold that value in our database yet, not that the operator lacks the feature. Confirm everything material on the official site before you register or deposit.

Primary ordering: directory position

The default sort on the homepage, the full bookmaker directory, and most tables is directory position — a position derived from our industry list import where a value exists. Lower numbers indicate higher placement in that source list.

Directory position is a traffic and visibility proxy, not a quality or safety score. A highly placed brand may still be unsuitable for your country, payment method, or product preference.

Hub, country, and facet pages

Hub pages (for example best crypto bookmakers or best UK bookmakers) start from a rule-based filter on the database — such as brands that accept Bitcoin or mention the United Kingdom in their target region — then sort by the same directory position within the filtered set.

Country pages list operators associated with a territory through target region text or related fields in our data.

Sport, language, currency, and payment facet pages list brands that mention the relevant value in our dataset. A minimum number of matches is required before we publish a facet page, so very rare values may not have a dedicated URL.

None of these pages are hand-curated “top picks” in exchange for payment.

Data profiles and future assessments

Bookmaker pages publish structured data profiles by default. Generated summaries are not shown merely because a file exists or has been generated.

A page may be promoted to an editorial assessment only after material facts have direct sources, limitations are stated, automated checks pass, and a named human reviewer signs it off. A hands-on review additionally requires documented product testing. The public label reflects that evidence level.

Data sources and refresh

Bookmaker records are maintained in a central database and refreshed on a scheduled import. The last successful sync time is stored per brand where the pipeline supports it.

We combine structured list data with fields scraped or entered from operator sites and public registries. When sources disagree, we may show the value from our primary list import until a verified correction is applied.

What we exclude by design

We do not currently publish:

• User-generated ratings or review counts (unless added as a separate dataset in future)
• Welcome bonus headlines or wagering requirements
• Live odds or market prices
• Claims that an operator is licensed in your jurisdiction without you verifying locally

Hub titles that include words like “best” describe the topic of the list (crypto, football, UK), not an audited ranking of quality.

Limitations you should know

• Jurisdiction: A brand may be visible globally in data but illegal or restricted where you live.
• Completeness: Payment and sport lists may be truncated on the page for readability; the operator may offer more.
• Timing: Rankings and traffic estimates lag real-world changes.
• Casino-heavy brands: Some operators in our database are casino-first; sports coverage may be limited even when listed.

Request a correction

If a field is wrong, use the contact page with:

1. Bookmaker name and profile URL on BookmakerStats UK
2. The field you believe is incorrect
3. A public source (regulator register, operator footer, official help page)

We update factual fields when verification is straightforward. We do not remove brands solely because an operator requests it unless there is a legal or factual reason to do so.
